    SOR, Inc. introduces the 815PT Smart Pressure Transmitter

    SOR, Inc. introduces the 815PT Smart Pressure Transmitter, a rugged, compact, loop-powered, stick form-factor instrument that is ideally suited for hazardous locations and hostile environments where space is limited. The 815PT offers many industry standard outputs to meet applications where low-cost, discrete and continuous monitoring is required or preferred. It is the newest addition to the SOR 800 series of pressure devices which also includes the 805PT and 805QS.

    Endress+Hauser Introduces Liquiline Multichannel Transmitter

    Liquiline CM444/CM448 transmitters take inputs from up to eight analytical sensors, transmit them to a control system via 4-20mA analog outputs, HART, Profibus or Modbus networks, and provide remote access via an integrated web server. They accept inputs from up to eight Endress+Hauser Memosens digital sensors including nitrate, spectral absorption coefficient (SAC), pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, free-chlorine and ion selective electrode sensors.

    Mix and match as needed – the device recognizes any combination of Memosens sensors and starts operating immediately. Memosens technology means all sensors can be precalibrated in the laboratory. When connected to the Liquiline series of transmitters - sensors are recognized automatically. This makes the exchange of sensors fast and maximizes the uptime of the measuring point.

    The Liquiline CM444 and CM448 can be field-upgraded at any time to accept additional inputs simply by plugging in additional modules. Optional current inputs are available for processing signals from other process devices such as flow, level or pressure sensors.

    Outputs from the CM444 and CM448 transmitters include up to eight 4-20mA current outputs with HART; as well as Ethernet, Profibus, and Modbus TCP or 485 networks. An integrated web server provides remote access via any web browser.

    Additional outputs include up to four relay outputs capable of switching 24, 115 or 230VAC. The relay outputs can be used to sound alarms, start or stop cleaning functions, activate a controller, or perform other related functions.

    The web server connects to the Internet via the CM444 or CM448 transmitter’s Ethernet TCP port. Using any web browser, users can perform remote configuration or access to device parameters.

    Virtual Process Values
    In addition to actual process values provided by the sensors or analog inputs, mathematical functions can be used to calculate a maximum of six "virtual" process values. The following mathematical functions are possible:

    • pH calculation based on two conductivity values, often used in boiler feed water and similar applications
    • Difference between two measured values from different sources, such as for membrane monitoring
    • Differential conductivity to monitor the efficiency of ion exchangers
    • Degassed conductivity for process control in power plants
    • Redundancy for monitoring two or three measuring sensors.
    • rH calculation based on the measured values of pH and ORP sensors.

    The virtual process values can be:

    • Output via a current output or one of the digital network
    • Used as a regulating control variable
    • Assigned as a measured variable to a limit contactor activated by one of the unit’s relay outputs
    • Used as a measured variable to trigger cleaning
    • Displayed in user-defined menus.

    The Liquiline CM444 and CM448 transmitters have a back-lit graphic display that alerts users to errors and displays load curves. It also has drop-down menus for monitoring values, and displays outputs from the built-in data logger. The data logger can maintain up to eight separate data logbooks, with 150,000 entries per logbook. The data logger has an adjustable scan time of one second to six hours, and a logbook that keeps track of up to 75 calibrations.

    Device configuration, diagnostics and maintenance asset functions can be accomplished with Endress+Hauser’s FieldCare software. FieldCare, based on FDT/DTM technology, can connect to the CM444 or CM448 via a service interface or HART.

    The CM444 and CM448 transmitters have a rugged plastic NEMA4X/IP66/67 housing that is leak proof and corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for use in non-hazardous applications in water & wastewater, oil & gas, chemical and power industries.

    STA Safety Trip Alarm from Moore Industries SIL 2 andSIL 3 Certified to IEC 61508 by exida

    The STA Safety Trip Alarm from Moore Industries has been certified by exida for Safety Instrumented Systems to IEC 61508:2010 for systematic integrity up to SIL 3 and for random integrity up to SIL 2. This means that that the STA is approved for single use in Safety Instrumented Systems up to SIL 2 and in redundant architecture such as 1oo2 and 2oo3 up to SIL 3.     Endress+Hauser Introduces Promag L 400 Flowmeter for Water and Wastewater Applications

    Endress+Hauser introduces the Proline Promag L 400 electromagnetic flowmeter for water and wastewater applications. It has an Ethernet port and built-in webserver for easy data access and configuration via any web browser. The industry optimized L sensor has drinking water approvals and corrosion protection that allows it to be installed underwater, underground and in saline environments. Sensors are available in nominal diameters from 2 to 90 in.

    With the integrated webserver, the Promag L 400 can be accessed via a standard web browser. This allows engineers and maintenance technicians to configure all device functions without any special software; to upload and download configuration date for backup or copying to identical meters; and to access device, diagnostic and process information.

    The Promag L 400 also has KTW/W270, ACS, NSF 61 and WRAS BS 6920 drinking water approvals, as well as custody transfer approvals to MI-001 and OIML R49 water
    meter standards. Accuracy is 0.2% of range. Each device is tested on accredited and traceable calibration rigs.

    Seamless integration into existing control systems is assured via HART, Profibus DP and EtherNet/IP (in preparation).

    An on-board HistoROM™ system provides data storage of all sensor, transmitter and totalizer data, with no data loss if power is removed. The HistoROM system provides a built-in data logger, has an event logbook and parameter backup, and can be restored using .xml files through the webserver.

    Data can be accessed via the webserver or the local graphics display. The graphics display has guided menus, “Make it Run” wizards, 16 languages, help displays, and built-in simulation software.

    Endress+Hauser Announces FMD72 Differential Pressure Level Transmitter

    Endress+Hauser announces the Deltabar FMD72 Electronic Differential Pressure measurement system. The FMD72 uses two pressure sensor modules connected electronically to a single transmitter—thus eliminating the need for impulse lines or capillaries and their related issues of icing up, clogging, leaky taps, dry/wet leg inconsistencies, and problems with temperature changes.

    Ambient temperature changes cause measurement drift in traditional capillary systems, but up to 95% of this drift can be eliminated with the FMD72. In addition to eliminating operational and maintenance problems, the FMD72 responds up to ten times faster than traditional impulse and capillary systems, is easier and less expensive to install, and does not require heat tracing.

    One sensor module measures the hydrostatic (high pressure), the second sensor measures the head pressure (low pressure), and the transmitter calculates the differential pressure. These measured values can be used to calculate the level, volume or mass of liquids in pressurized tanks.

    The sensors connect to the transmitter module via industry standard, color-coded twisted pair cable and have NEMA 4X/6P (IP66/IP68) watertight housings and connections. The transmitter can be located away from the sensors in areas safe and convenient for personnel. The system meets ATEX, IEC Ex, CSA and FM specifications for use in hazardous areas including Zones 0, 1 and 2; and Division 1 and 2.

    The transmitter outputs differential pressure, head pressure and temperature via 4-20mA with HART. The sensors have 0.075% accuracy over a measuring range of -15 to 150 psi and work in process temperatures from -40 to 257?F. Accuracy of the entire system—two sensors and the transmitter—is 0.1%.

    The system has built-in diagnostics for continuous health indication via HART. Operators can access HART data via Endress+Hauser’s FieldCare software or Field Xpert PDA.

    ProComSol Releases COM-TABLET HART Communicator

    ProComSol has released the COM-TABLET, a PC-based HART Communicator on the Tablet PC platform. It includes the Tablet PC loaded with the DevCom2000 Smart Device Communicator Software. It also includes the HM-BT-BAT-ER Bluetooth HART Modem which adds wireless convenience. The entire kit is contained in a hard plastic carrying case for ease of transport to the work site.

    The COM-TABLET is fully configured and ready to work right out of the box. No software to install or hardware to configure. Simply turn on the HM-BT-BAT-ER HART Modem, connect the modem to a HART device, and then tap the DevCom2000 icon on the touch screen. HART Communications start right away. The included DevCom2000 software comes pre-loaded with all of the DDs registered with the HART Communication Foundation. This enables users to use DevCom2000 immediately without the need to download DD’s from various instrumentation suppliers.

    The included tablet PC utilizes the Windows 7 operating system. This allows the use of programs with an interface that is already familiar - such as Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. The full keyboard is detachable which makes it lighter and more mobile, but can easily be reconnected to enter data or write reports.

    Beamex introduces a newfield calibrator and communicator

    The new Beamex MC6 Advanced Field Calibrator and Communicator is a solution to the new process industry requirements. “We are extremely proud of the new MC6; it is the end-result of the largest product development project in Beamex’s nearly forty-year history”, Ahola summarizes the product development project. The MC6 is an advanced, high-accuracy field calibrator and communicator. It offers calibration capabilities for pressure, temperature and various electrical signals. The MC6 also contains a full fieldbus communicator for HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and Profibus PA instruments.

    The usability and ease-of-use are what really makes the MC6 unique. It has a large 5.7”color touch-screen with a multilingual user- interface. The robust IP65-rated dust- and water-proof casing, ergonomic design and light weight make it an ideal measurement device for field use in various industries, such as the pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, food and beverage, service as well as the petrochemical and chemical industries.

    The MC6 is one device with five different operational modes, which means that it is fast and easy to use, and you can carry less equipment in the field. The operation modes include Meter, Calibrator, Documenting Calibrator, Data Logger and Fieldbus Communicator. In addition, the MC6 communicates with Beamex CMX Calibration Software, enabling fully automated and paperless calibration and documentation. The MC6 is more than a calibrator.

В новой версии существенно улучшен дизайн — кнопки стали больше, изменена цветовая гамма, добавлена автоматическая адаптация размеров окон. Теперь приложение лучше отображается на дисплеях мобильных устройств. Дополнительно для Windows 8.1 и Windows Server 2008 R2 добавлена поддержка русского языка.

    Приложение поддерживает все устройства Endress+Hauser, а также устройства других поставщиков. В добавок к стандартной комплектации пакет FieldCare можно расширить модулями для планово-предупредительного обслуживания: Condition Monitoring и Asset Information Management.

    Field Device Tool версии 1.2.1 теперь поддерживает протоколы ModBus. EtherNet/IP и WirelessHART. Добавлена новая функция «One Touch Network» — сканирование всей сети в один клик. Скорость сканирования можно также увеличить до 5 раз, установив шлюз PROFIBUS fieldgate SFG500.

    В FieldCare 2.10 встроена поддержка HART протокола версии 7 с библиотекой устройств Generic HART DTM.
